Matt Connell nieuwe drummer Exhumed

Exhumed heeft de toevoeging van de Canadese drummer Matt Connell (ex-Fuck The Facts, Experiment In Terror) bekend gemaakt.
"Exhumed would like to extend a 'fuck yeah!' to Connell, who replaces founding member Col Jones (who left the band in 2003, shortly after the recording of 'Anatomy is Destiny'). (...) While the Canadian jokes will undoubtedly fly fast and furious in the tour van, no one will be joking when they hear some seriously intense one-foot blasts from this guy! I personally guarantee that it will be a total autopsy holocaust doss of maddening mega-grinding."
Matt Connell reageert enthousiast op zijn nieuwe bandleden:
"I'm totally stoked! It's awesome to be part of a band I have always held in such high regard. I look forward to helping the guys unleash some good ol' gore fuckin' metal upon the masses."
Sinds het vertrek van Col Jones, die tussen 1991 en 2003 het drumwerk verzorgde, heeft Exhumed gebruik gemaakt van de diensten van Danny Walker (Uphill Battle en Cinema Strange) en John Longstreth, die momenteel op tour is met Dying Fetus.
Nieuwe aanwinst Matt Connell maakt al snel zijn opnamedebuut met Exhumed: in december gaat de groep een album met covers opnemen. De schijft heeft de werktitel "Regurgitated Requiems: Garbage Daze Re-Regurgitated" meegekregen. Op de release komen nummers te staan van onder meer Master, Metallica, Sadus, Samhain, G.B.H. en The Cure. Overigens zal Exhumed in februari 2005 ook enkele shows filmen voor een DVD die op stapel staat.
