Gaat Joey Jordison met Ministry op tour?

Geruchten over Jordison als sessiedrummer tijdens de tour houden niet meer op sinds Ministry-bandleider Al Jourgensen in oktober met The Gauntlet sprak. Jourgensen verklaarde toen:

"Right now, the Ministry touring band is a whole new band for us. Joey Jordison from Slipknot is playing drums, Paul Raven of Killing Joke is on the bass, and Tommy Victor of Prong is playing guitar."

De twee laatstegenoemde muzikanten hebben ook bijgedragen aan Ministry's komende album "Rio Grande Blood". De schijf komt in april 2006 uit via Jourgensen's pas gelanceerde label 13th Planet.

Toen hem gevraagd werd hoe het is om met een drummer als Joey Jordison te spelen, antwoordde de Ministry-frontman:

"Oh, awesome, it's awesome. He knows all the stuff. He grew up on it. It's not really necessary [to use two drummers anymore]. This new record has really turned out to be a thrash-o-rama, so we just need one extremely good, fast drummer and I think Joey certainly fits that bill."

Ministry's MasterBaTour bestaat uit 60 shows in de VS en Canada. De tour start op 6 mei 2006.
