Druk tourschema voor Gene Hoglan

Monsterdrummer Gene Hoglan bereidt zich op dit moment voor op een intensieve serie shows met Strapping Young Lad. De band gaat de komende maanden uitgebreid touren met Fear Factory, Soilwork en Darkane, en komt begin 2006 naar Europa.
"Directly after [the tour finish on December 5], we head on over to England for a handful of shows with our pals in Arch Enemy. We are planning the full-on European tour in January/February, too!"
Ander nieuws over Gene Hoglan: de drummer is als sessiemuzikant te horen op het debuutalbum "Evil Needs Candy, Too" van zangeres/actrice Ani Kyd. Het album werd geproduceerd door Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys). Volgens Hoglan zitten er onverwachte voordelen aan het spelen met Ani Kyd:
"I'm in this band for fun. I dig the tunes, I really dig the people, and hearing Byron just let 'er rip on the bass is a true smile-inducing factor in all of this for me! (...) One thing I should probably address here, cuz I sure as hell don't in any of my other bands, is the extremely righteous trend these days of girls allowing themselves curves! That has been a mighty fine turn of events over the past few years, I must say! Eat that cheeseburger, girlie, don't be a french fry! And, onstage, while all you folks are staring at the Kyd's ample assets, I'm checkin' out that kickin' boo-tay of hers, which is definitely something I don't get to do in any of my other bands ("Hey Dev! Nice rump!")! Hahahaha!"
