Ryan Van Poederooyen maakt opnames met verstuikte enkel

Devin Townsend Band-drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen (foto) heeft noodgedwongen een opnamesessie moeten afzeggen wegens een verstuikte enkel.
"I was supposed to have recorded the Russell Bergquist (ex-Annihilator bass player) album on August 1st. Unfortunately, I sprained my left ankle a couple days before the recording date and was in no shape to play the drums. We have re-scheduled his session for August 16th at Greenhouse Studios. This date is confirmed and I will definitely be recording his five-song EP at this time."
Daarvoor, op 10 augustus, zal de drummer in de Armoury Studio's de drumtracks opnemen voor het nieuwe album van de Devin Townsend Band album, "Synchestra".
Bands als AC/DC, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi en Strapping Young Lad hebben ooit nummers opgenomen in de Armoury Studio's. De Devin Townsend Band nam er "Accelerated Evolution" op en was dusdanig tevreden met het resultaat dat de formatie besloot daar opnieuw gebruik van te maken. Ryan Van Poederooyen:
"I have only two days to nail all the drums for this over-an-hour-long album! It's gonna be pretty crazy. It doesn't help that I sprained my left ankle pretty bad a week and a half ago. I've been taking good care of it and have it wrapped up with an ankle brace, so I'm good to go!
