Dave Grohl, drummer extraordinaire en frontman van de Foo Fighters, vindt het maar niks wanneer bands 'backing tracks' laten meelopen tijdens live optredens.
"We don't try to play perfect, like on the record. We don't use backing tracks. That's kind of a crutch other bands have up their sleeve. I'd rather sound awful and have the chance to change things at a whim than sound like Linkin Park or Mötley Crüe because of today's technology. They feel naked when it comes to playing live."
Nou heeft Dave makkelijk praten, want zowel hijzelf als alle andere bandleden kunnen uitstekend met hun instrumenten overweg. Van een slecht geluid hebben de Foo Fighters dan ook geen enkele last.
