Drummer bepaalt nieuwe album Static-X

Nick Oshiro, drummer van Static-X, blijkt van grote invloed op de wijze te zijn geweest op het laatste album.
De drummer verving de opgestapte Ken Jay en bleek uitstekend in staat om de partijen die Josh Freese in de studio had vestgelegd, live te vertolken.
Oshiro's manier van spelen en zijn vaardigheden als live-drummer hebben dan ook een flinke impact gehad op het maken van het nieuwe Static-X-album "Start a War".
Wayne Static, frontman van de formatie verklaarde in een interview met Launch Radio Networks:
"This is actually the first record where we didn't try to fix the drums in the computer or anything like that. We just recorded the drums with the band, playing live, and the drums are what they are. There's no samples, there's no straightening things out, and I think this record has a real, sort of live Static-X feel to it because of that."
Op 14 komt het album in de VS in de winkels te liggen. Momenteel toert Static-X door eigen land ter promotie van de release.
