Nieuwe opnames Ian Paice

Tijdens de sessie op 21 september nam Paice de tracks One Dollar Baby en Halfway to Heaven op. Beide nummers zullen op Moonstone's tweede album terechtkomen. De eerste CD van het project, "Time to Take a Stand", komt begin 2006 uit. Hierop is Ian Paice ook al te horen.

Matt Filippini, spil van het project, schrijft op de Moonstone-website:

"I spent the last few days with a legend: Mr. Ian Paice... in Italy to record 2 new songs for me. The day after the sessions, on Sept 22nd, I played a show with Paicey...packed house with 700 screaming guys, great feel on stage, 2 encores, beers...lot of fun!"

Moonstone wordt omschreven als "onvervalste Brits-georiënteerde '70s rock", die in het verlengde ligt van acts als Free, Jimi Hendrix en Deep Purple.

Moonstone's debuutalbum bevat een flinke hoeveelheid gastbijdragen van stermuzikanten waaronder Paice, Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath), Graham Bonnet (Rainbow, Michael Schenker Group, Alcatrazz, Impellitteri, Blackthorne), Eric Bloom (Blue Öyster Cult), John Lawton (Ex-Uriah Heep) en Paul Shortino (Rough Cutt, Quiet Riot, Heaven & Earth).
