Thin Lizzy maakte beste live album ooit

Het album "Strangers in the Night" van UFO, uitgebracht in 1979, staat op een tweede plaats. "Made in Japan" van Deep Purple uit 1972 komt volgens de stemmers op de derde plaats.

Volgens Sian Llewellyn, redacteur van het Classic Rock magazine, geeft het album uitstekend de sfeer en energie van een live show weer:

"Thin Lizzy's album encapsulates the energy and fervor of Lizzy at their prime. The album was one of the first to show that a live album can really capture the excitement of the music as well as a studio album. With a good live album you can crank it up and feel the energy as if you were there. You can feel the atmosphere in the crowd without it encroaching too much on the music."

Op de vierde plaats zijn de Australische hardrockers van AC/DC terug te vinden met "If You Want Blood, You've Got it", gevolgd door Led Zeppelin met "How the West Was Won". Andere legendarische live-albums die bovenin de lijst staan, zijn "Live at Leeds" dat The Who in 1970 opnam, en "Unleashed in the East" uit 1979 van Judas Priest.
