Sengaia tekent contract bij Garden of Exile

De snelle groei is vooral te danken aan het feit dat de band bestaat uit ervaren muzikanten. Bekendste namen zijn waarschijnlijk die van zanger Eric Kalsbeek, bekend van Brainshake en Textures, en van drummer Roy Moonen, die eerder in 37 Stabwoundz speelde.

Sengaia's debuut is de "Maelstrom EP": vijf nummers, met een speeltijd van meer dan 20 minuten. De schijf zal begin juni verschijnen. Eén van de nummers van de EP, The Birth And Demise Of An Infernal Machine, kun je hier alvast downloaden.

Naast 37 Stabwoundz heeft het label Garden of Exile Records ook Instil, Mörser en Isle of Man onder z'n hoede. Sengaia gaf het volgende commentaar op de samenwerking:

"We very quickly found Garden of Exile records to be the best partner in crime for the release of the ‘Maelstrom EP'. We are very excited about this; it's been a while since the recording process so we want to release this damn EP very soon. Together with these hard working guys, who are truly interested in our music, we believe that the release will become a great success."

Naar verwachting verschijnt de "Maelstrom EP" al begin juni 2005. Naar verluidt speelt Sengaia een explosief mengsel van metal, fusion en hardcore. De persverklaring omschrijft het als volgt:

"From time to time you may find some rest in their fusion/jazz parts, but in the end this brutal maelstrom of originality will suck you under. Fusing influences from Cryptopsy, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Meshuggah and many more, Sengaia create a sound not shown to mankind before."
