Zildjian lanceert Matt Sorum signature sticks

Matt's drumstick zijn flink uit de kluiten gewassen en daarom perfect om een overdonderende rocksound mee uit je kit te halen. Het nieuwe ontwerp copmbineert de lengte van Zildjian's Rockmodel (16 5/8 inch, ruim 42 centimeter) met de diameter van het Super 5B-model (0.595", bijna 1,5 cm dik dus). De houten tip is bijna rond gevormd om krachtige tonen met te kunnen spelen. Naast het Velvet Revolver-logo staat uiteraard Matt's naam in fel rood op de sticks gestempeld.

Sorum is erg tevreden met zijn nieuwe stokken:

"I've just started getting into playing in the Super 5B range, which has smaller dimensions than my old stick. But the Super 5B is a little light for what I do. So I thought we could change my stick to be a little bit heavier than the Super 5B. I'm digging it; it's beautiful! My sticks are always well balanced. I always have about 20 sticks in my bag, and sometimes I'll pick up a new pair to play just because I want a fresh pair. And when I do they always feel the same; the balance is really good. They're very consistent and that's important for a drumstick."

De 'Matt Sorum Artist Series Drumstick' zoals de stokken officieel heten, worden gemaakt in de Verenigde Staten waar Zildjian sinds 1989 al z'n drumsticks fabriceert.
