More Samba

Continuing the ideas of samba that I wrote last lesson, I'll pass you some variations changing the peaces arround, giving your sound a pretty modern face. First we'll start with a very traditional beat faking the tambourines.

The sound I am introducing to you here can be heard on the piece Brazuquice on the Brazilian Duet video that I recorded with Ramon Montanhaur. Notice the Music Key on the left of the page.

In Part 2 we're going to change this around. The snare will fix the bass drum tone with the right hand, doing a type of double stroke roll (Pa Pa Ma Ma) discplaced and the right hand will do the ghost notes.

In rhythm 3 the bass drum will fix the sound of the first exercise, faking tambourines.

In beat Nr. 4 we put it all together. This beat is nice in fast speeds and with the Hi-Hat fixing on the time.

Good practive and good luck! With any doubts, don't hesitate to send me an e-mail at: alexandreodery@terra.com.br.
