Arctic Monkeys-drummer met Amerikaanse band op tour?

De New Yorkse groep We Are Scientists hoopt dat Arctic Monkeys-drummer Matt Helders achter de ketels wil kruipen als ze komende zomer gaan touren. De Scientists hebben nog steeds geen vaste vervanger gevonden voor drummer Michael Tapper die in 2007 opstapte.
"Matt speelde onlangs met ons op de Album Chart Show en hij past perfect bij ons. We leerden de Arctic Monkeys kennen tijden de NME Awards-tour in 2006."
Vervolgens vroegen Arctic Monkeys aan We Are Scientists om als supportact op te treden hun Amerikaanse tour. Chris Cain vervolgt:
"Matt got on stage with us a couple of times and played drums on our song 'Great Escape', and Alex Turner played guitar and sang backing vocals. One thing people probably don’t know about Mr Helders is that despite being in one of the biggest bands in the world he’s always on the look-out for work and a bit of extra cash. If you’re a half-decent band you can expect to receive numerous emails from him offering his services and telling you how reasonable his rates are."
