MTV.com reports that a court order barring the "Rock Star: Supernova" band (featuring Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted, Gilby Clarke and now vocalist Lukas Rossi) from using the moniker SUPERNOVA has forced the act to amend its name to, er, ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA, in deference to a California band that already holds the rights to the name. According to Reuters, an Epic Records spokesperson confirmed the altered name. The label will release the band's debut LP on November 21, and two tracks — "It's All Love" and "Be Yourself & 5 Other Cliches" — are available for streaming at this location. ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA will launch a 28-city North American tour with THE PANIC CHANNEL (which features the show's co-host Dave Navarro) in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve.

New York thrash band EVERYTHING'S RUINED — featuring former INHUMAN guitarist Walter Cardenas and former TRAGIC FIGURE bassist Dan Paprocki — is looking for a new drummer to replace the recently departed Dave Troncone.

EVERYTHING'S RUINED recently released its debut EP, "Survival Program", through Love Is A Fist Music.

Na de opnamen voor het nieuwe album van 16Down in de Prairie Sun Studio's bij San Francisco, heeft Marco Hovius ook de songs gemixt in deze Amerikaanse studio. Het nieuwe album zal in januari uitkomen via Flow Records, voorafgegaan door een single met clip in november. De tour zal op 19 januari 2007 van start gaan in Hedon Zwolle.
