Belgische formatie stopt na arrestatie frontman

De Vlaamse doomformatie Thee Plague Of Gentlemen is niet meer. Dat blijkt uit een bericht op de officiële website van band. Aanleiding voor het plotselinge uiteenvallen is de onverwachte arrestatie van zanger Steve McMillan:
"This second week of July 2006 was the last week of existence of Thee Plague Of Gentlemen. Front man Steve [McMillan] has been arrested and imprisoned for criminal acts that none of the members could ever imagine to happen and which are totally unacceptable. Therefore we all dissociate ourselves from all his acts, deeds and comments. At this very moment, we need to digest the facts, but one thing is sure: Thee Plague Of Gentlemen is no more."
Wat McMillan precies op zijn kerfstok heeft, is onbekend. Ten tijde van zijn arrestatie vorige week waren drummer Frederik "Cozy" Cosemans (foto) en de rest van de groep juist gestart met de opnames van een tweede album "SerpentCult" in de CCR studio's. Het zou hun debuut worden op het Franse label Listenable Records. Het eerste album van Thee Plague Of Gentlemen, "Primula Pestis", verscheen begin 2005 via I Hate Records.
