The Black Dahlia Murder ontslaat drummer en bassist

Drummer Zach Gibson (foto) heeft gedwongen afscheid genomen van The Black Dahlia Murder uit Detroit, Michigan. Ook bassist David Lock werd gevraagd op te stappen.
De achtergebleven leden schrijven dat beide heren simpelweg niet in staat waren om de nummers van de band correct te spelen:
"Both [Gibsonn and Lock] are gone cause they couldn't actually play our material. It was sad to have to make such a decision with Dave since he's been with us for quite some time. We wish him nothing but the best in all his future endeavors. Zach, however, was a much easier call to make. He simply didin't care that he played subpar, and we decided that we could definitely not let someone who doesn't even care about the band to continue."
The Black Dahlia Murder belooft snel met een verbeterde versie van de band te komen.
Zach Gibson kwam in juni 2004 bij The Black Dahlia Murder. Hij verving toen oorspronkelijk drummer Cory Grady, die ook al was gevraagd om op te stappen "wegens professionele en persoonlijke verschillen".
Het meest recente album van The Black Dahlia Murder, "Miasma", verscheen in juli 2005 via Metal Blade Records. De CD werd opgenomen in samenwerking met Eric Rachel (Nora, Atreyu, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Burnt By The Sun, Every Time I Die, God Forbid) en Andreas Magnusson (Scarlet) in de Trax East studio's in New Jersey.
