Sick Of It All tekent bij Abacus Recordings

De hardcore iconen van Sick Of It All hebben een contract getekend met Abacus Recordings. Dat heeft het label bekendgemaakt.
"After discussing our situation quite a bit, we realized that we needed to be on a label that was run by a fan of our music. We found that in Abacus, because the head of the label wanted to sign us all the way back in 1993, and hasn't lost his enthusiasm for Sick Of It All. That's dedication — something rarely found in this industry. We're excited to be a part of something that's just taking off."
Het kwartet van Sick Of It All viert in 2006 zijn twintigste verjaardag en laat die mijlpaal samenvallen met de release van het negende full-length studioalbum (alle EP's, singles en compilaties buiten beschouwing gelaten).
Het komende album, met de titel "Death to Tyrants", wordt deze winter opgenomen onder leiding van producer Dean Baltulonis (Give Up The Ghost, Bouncing Souls, Most Precious Blood).
Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Heaven Shall Burn) zal de mix voor zijn rekening nemen in zijn bekende Antfarm studio's in Aarhus, Denemarken. Naar verwachting ligt het nieuwe album being 2006 in de winkels.
Eerder dit jaar beëindigde Sick Of It All de samenwerking met label Fat Wreck Chords.
