Cowbell Groove Exercises: 2 Bar Grooves
2006 lessons of Juan van Emmerloot
The little snare rolls in excercise 4 and 6 add a nice feel to the types of grooves we are examining here. They tend to sound more latin-funky once you play them like you see in the video and the transciption.
The dynamics in excercise 4 is just an example; you might want to try using dynamics with the other grooves in the score as well.
Overall, I've put some great grooves together for you, that will always sound very musical as long as you don't play them too fast!
Keep on playing them consistantly and get into the groove! Watch the video in which I explain how to work around the grooves.
Tip: try to remember to keep playing the off-beat pattern with the Hi-Hat.
