Once you get into the groove, try to whipe a little bit more with the brushes to get a sound that combines Latin with Jazz.

Look at how to create a left hand accent by sweeping with a sudden stop. This is all about timing...

Make sure that you work towards the 1st beat of the groove. The downbeat is very important in this type of groove, as you can hear and see.

Check out this groove and pay attention to the basics # 1 - 3 for the right instruments techniques and sound approach!
