Pay close attention to the way I treat the snare and copy the basics of what I am doing.
Once you have trained the basic settings, you'll probably find your own way of getting the right sounds out of your snare drum!
And don't forget: the hi-hat is the most important instrument in all cases. Keeping time will be only possible if you play a beat with the hi-hat! So always play the hi-hat foot with any exercise or groove.
