Tungsten doet studio-opnames over

Tungsten-drummer Mark Talamo en zanger/gitarist Al Hodge zijn samen begonnen aan de heropnames voor een nieuw album. Dat meldt de band op de eigen website.
"At first we thought it was going to be the album, but you all know how we are. It wouldn't be Tungsten unless we took forever to churn this album out. That initial recording always turns into the demo and then we always start from scratch."
Volgens het bericht op de Tungsten-website verlopen de opnames wat anders dan gewoonlijk:
"Most bands that record in the studio will play a guitar track or a drum track and if they mess up they will simply just pick up where they left off and add the new track over the mess up. What we are doing this time at H/T Studios down here in Louisiana is very different. This is a very hard and time-consuming process, because if you mess up even near the end, you have to start all over again from the beginning. What's great about doing the 'one-take-only' sessions, is that when we get pissed off after we mess up, it makes the playing a lot more pissed off sounding. So it will reflect in the songs."
Drummer Mark nam de drumtracks op in zijn lunchpauzes en gitarist Al ging direct na werktijd de studio in om daar de gitaarpartijen op te nemen. Mark Talamo neemt ook de productie voor zijn rekening. Ondanks de tijdrovende methode verwachten de muzikanten begin 2005 de release gereed te hebben.
