Diabolic gooit de handdoek in de ring

Diabolic, de deathmetal band uit Florida, is na zeven jaar officieel uit elkaar. Grondlegger Brian Malone heeft daartoe besloten als gevolg van "recent business development".
Op de website van de groep schrijft Malone:
"This decision in no way reflects upon the professionalism and personalities of the current members of Diabolic. (…)To say that it has been a pleasure to work with these dedicated and talented musicians would be an extreme understatement. (…)"The [group's] final show [took place] on Friday, August 20, 2004 at the Masquerade in Tampa. The decision was made prior to the performance, but not officially announced until now as to exhaust all possible options and alternatives."
De laatste release van Diabolic, "Infinity Through Purification", kwam uit in 2003. Dit vierde full-length album werd opgenomen onder leiding van Grammy Award-winnaar Neil Kernon. Kernon is bekend vanwege zijn werk voor onder andere Judas Priest, Queensrÿche en Cannibal Corpse.
