Invocator drummer records promo with new project

He has already spent time in the studio recording five tracks with his new outfit. In addition to Gundel, The Downward Candidate features Allan Tvedebrink and Kasper B of the now-defunct Danish 'melodeathsters' Withering Surface. Vocal duties are being handled by Kim Orneborg of the Danish band Mugshot.

The five tracks will be released as a promo CD. The recording is produced by Lars Mayland (previously guitarist in Konkhra and Furious Trauma). Acocording to Gundel, the group's musical style is a mix between hardcore and thrash.

Jakob Gundel's main band Invocator recently spent time at the Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark recording four new tracks. The band hope to complete the songwriting sessions for a new full-length album in the summer of 2005.
